This layout was created for the Getting Cricky Challenge. It has to contain a bird. Easy! I had a photo of one crazy chick I needed to scrap.
15 years ago, my first teaching post was at Mount Magnet, a little isolated town in the middle of Western Australia. I taught there for 3 years. In small outback towns, it was hard to find anything to do apart from work. I was so blessed to have met Jenny. We created our own fun and giggles and she really knew how to play as an adult with me. I had the best time!
The birds are from 3 birds on Parade cartridge, so is the cute chicken feet font. I problem solved a fair bit in order to get these birds... they are the witchy birds from the cartridge, because I liked the shoes, so I cut them out (one flipped) and then cut off their hats and brooms, cut the second wing layers and then added details like eyes and ink.
We created a group called the 'Mount Magnet Mayhem Maidens' and when we went to the nearest big towns to party, we'd all wear our logo. ('Nearest bigger towns' meaning 300km away!) We got so well known as a group in other towns.
It's a rather simple layout, but I'm glad I have these photos in my album now. Just looking at our photos puts a smile on my face about all our antics together. Much better in my album than hidden in my photo box.
