April Flowers and Hot Blog Hop Update.

I am so excited to have completed an entry for the April Flowers competition by Scrappy-Go-Lucky.

I always love a challenge that really makes me think. Even though I am dying to show you my entry... I can't so you get just the TINIEST peek at it. It is only the smallest look at my cute creation.

I also LOVE Carlene's entry from Me n Miss Pink Cricut, so you will have to stay tuned to Scrappy-Go-Lucky's blog and see who wins the Imagine Machine!

PLUS news from the Hot Blog Hop is that Jacob will soon be on his way to visit Erin from a Girl and her Scrap Box in HAWAII!!!! After a couple of weeks with Edward and Miss Pink Cricut, Jacob will enjoy warding off lizards in Erins scrap room! I can not wait to see what they get up to together.

Frosted Designs Butterfly Challenge.

The Fabulous Friday Challenge at Frosted Designs this week is to use a butterfly or bird. It's no secret I'm not really a fan of feathery things (eeeeekkkkk to birds!) so I'm Team Butterflies!

And I've always been known as a social one. (Is 'social butterfly' a world-wide term or just some weird Aussie thing?) 

Well, I'm definitely more the 'social' part than the 'butterfly' Butterflies are quiet and graceful creatures. You can hear my chatter and laughter coming from a mile away! 


So this is me and a long lost friend Carrie dancing at our school social in 1985. The start of my Social Butterfly career.

 I made the little butterflies on the paper dance about with green pen flight trails. 

Wall Decor and More cartridge made this magnificent butterfly. Crystalina Kindy Glitz and Stickles colours Black Opal and Deep Blue blinged up the butterfly. With a touch of i-rock.

White rub on wings made a few extra butterflies.


Then I caught an ant, dipped one of his little feet in green paint, set him down on the page and let him walk all around the border... 

 

HAHAHAHA!!!! I wish it was that easy!

  

I think I will get arthritis five years earlier thanks to dotting all around the edge in butterfly flight with green pen!

  

    You can even spy a few birds if you follow the butterfly path.

Bunnings had these two sets of 22ml paint pots for $9 per four. Just $2.25 per pot. So I had to take home the metallics and the pearl sets. 

It is really good paint with excellent coverage.

PLUS the silver and metallic colours are actually metallic looking. (Not like some that end up looking dark grey)

The Cheap Chirper is: FAKE EYELASHES!

These can be loads of fun in the scrap room! 

You can pick them up at red dot stores for cheap.

Now, I'll be honest, I've never worn fake eyelashes EVER but if I did... I would NOT choose ones from a cheap $2 shop... the inferior glue would probably burn my eyes off!

I have enough watery eye trouble with good quality eye make-up.

So they look great with large google eyes. You can trim them for crazy paper doll hair.

Here is one of my examples.

Thanks for all your kind words about my sudden relocation. It is going well and I am still in transition but I am happy to get my blog fix tonight! It was beautiful to read such gorgeous comments and I can't wait to be in my own space creating again! You all put sunshine in my day with your comments and inspirational scrapbooking.  

Peachy Keen for a new beginning!

Hi all! I will be missing in action for a little while but stay with me! I have not disappeared!

In one week my life has dramatically changed and I am relocating today to a new town 150km away. I will hopefully settle soon and the first thing I will unpack is a scrap area!

So this is my last creation for a little while. A fitting one. I am going to give this card to the first neighbour I meet in my new town. 

I will arrive in style with two little spunkymonkey boys making lots of boy noise and I can only imagine what the reaction is going to be!   After living on 7 acres, the boys noise decibels reach inaudible levels at times... Living in town, on a small block... hmmmm.....


My poor future neighbours don't know what is coming. lol.

Anyway. I am sad to be leaving but always look on life's curb balls with a positive attitude, so the journey ahead is unknown, daunting but exciting too.

I used Funshine faces for my neighbours and a Retro face for me! 


I also used a makeup sponge to ink the bricks.
