Cheap Chirpin Tuesday #3 March!

Cheap Chirpin Tuesday is here again and for all the cheap chirpers, we have a special surprise in store at the end of this month!

Today, I just have to feature my favourite outline pens, which Carlene from Me n Miss Pink Cricut introduced me to.
They are the coolest pens that leave a faint coloured outline and really make the lines pop. (Especially faux stitching!)
Late last night I posted my funniest ever layout for the latest Peachy Keen Challenge and I used the pens as an outline around the entire layout. I would love you check out my post RIGHT HERE (or scroll down) after you commented on this post.

So today for my Cheap Chirper, one lucky winner will get two outline pens! Pink and Black... my favourite colours of them!

The prize box so far:

Peachy Keen Sew Super Cute Challenge 11- My funniest EVER layout!

A first for me! An event happened today...I took photos... I scrapped it all in ONE DAY! If only all of my scrapping could be that up to date.

This is without a doubt the funniest, page I've ever scrapped. I'm entering it the Sew Super Cute Challenge #11 from Peachy Keen Face it Friday Challenge. I sure hope Kathy from Peachy Keen gets to see my new and slightly innovative use of her cute stamps!

I'm going to give this layout to you in parts...

I used the Wide Eyed Kids stamps for these little characters.

His snoring is soooo bad. I lose a lot of sleep and get tired and grumpy myself...and he wonders why I get angry...

And I used the Everyday Character Face Parts and More pack for this large snoring character!!!! LOL...

He sleeps so deeply because his body is so exhausted from snoring. Then he had ten minutes to wake up and go to night shift... but he looked in the mirror... Stazon really does live up to it's name. He has gone to work with an extra eye on his nose!!

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha... I've always been one to amuse myself.

So you can see all my faux stitching on the characters. Then I went around the outside with my silver pen and then painstakingly went around the outside of the silver pen in dark blue...
I'M JUST KIDDING!!!! lol...

It is my favourite pen of all time... the Pentel Outline pen, it leaves a tiny outline and really makes your lines pop out! (If you come visit me tomorrow you can win some of these pens on my Cheap Chirpin Tuesday post!)

I have finished a MAMMOTH surprise layout for Mandy from Scrappy-go-Lucky. She is an Australian Store now stocking Peachy Keen stamps and I am so excited for her and her customers...(which is me!)  I hope you will come back and see it when I post it later this week! It is HUGE!

I barely got this layout done today from laughing so much!

Thanks Peachy Keen for the great challenge! You put a lot of laughter and funshine in my day!

Imaginisce Monthly Challenge - and my hot scrap assistant's plan!

LOVE anything Imaginisce, including their fun blog challenge at the moment. Sketch challenge in threes. 3 papers, 3 colours, 3 embellishments.

PLUS - just for fun I challenged myself to use 3 of my Imaginisce tools to make it happen!
Jack's birthday is coming up. I was lucky enough to be invited by his mum into the labour ward and I helped deliver him 2 years ago. It is a precious moment in time I could never forget.  So this card was made with so much love, because every time I think of him, it makes my heart flutter with memories of that day.

I cracked open my i-bond for the very first time and I must say... I LOVE that little light and the fact there is no cord. So many times I knew that my glue gun would work best but was stifled by unpacking it, plugging it in, sitting close enough to a wall with a socket... NOW I'm FREE!!!!

So I used my i-rock to make subtle little highlights and I used my i-top to make a brad as the centre of the not-so-subtle bow.

I used the DinoRoar set of papers from Imaginisce (Before I saw Erin Bassett's wonderful DT card I swear - I can not believe how similar they are and I did not see it before I made mine, I promise!) Creative minds think alike!

Then I used the i-bond to glue on the bow over thread covered wire, which I i-bonded to the dinosaur and the wild sign.

I love the way it looks in the light at night, casting a giant T-rex shadow on my wall.

Jacob, my hot scrap assistant did not like the experience much, surrounded in my pink pretties!

He'd prefer to fix motorbikes and chase a few vampires. So he told me all about his little plan for a very fun blog hop... stay tuned to my blog. In a few days and will be revealed!!!

Remember gorgeous followers - you only have till Sunday for a chance to win Camping Critters cart on my blog - Click here for more details!  And I'm nearly at 100 followers... Celebrating soon with prizes! Thanks for your blog love and sharing inspiration.

Thanks so much to Imaginisce for a fun challenge.

Sketches in Thyme - Thursday Takes #32

If you are looking for my flowers tutorial click here!

This week at Sketches in Thyme they had a fun sketch. It uses elements like flowers, buttons and other things that I rarely use in my layouts, so I thought I would give it a go!
 This is the Sketch:

These are photos of my 8th birthday.
I used the Imaginisce Enchanted range of paper.

Made the embellishments with the i-top and punches.

Copied the trees from one of the papers.

Thanks again for an awesome challenge at Sketches in Thyme.

Found Altered Challenge! My new Pink "Get Em Girls!"

I found a pair of shoes in my cupboard. I've hardly worn the poor things, opting for my favourites all the time. I wear them maybe once a year... IDEA!!! Dress them up for an annual event. I'm entering in the "Found Altered Challenge" on the Imaginisce blog that Pinky is hosting.

Watch out shoes!!! Your boring black is about to get pretty!

Every year I attend A Girls Day In event for Breast Cancer. This year is particularly special for me as we are celebrating 20 years since my mum beat breast cancer! She was diagnosed at the young age of 39. Being 35 years old myself I am very vigilant. Last year I received genetic testing for the aggressive BRACH2 cancer gene and tested negative! So rather than 80% chance of cancer, my odds are now 1 in 11 like the general population. (Still very high odds to me!) so I'm all for promoting awareness.

So once a year, I'll be wearing my old/new breast cancer "Get em-girls"! (More often than I wear them now!)

As you can see I covered the black using the new range of Imaginisce Enchanted range... which I was lucky that my local shop was unpacking Tuesday morning!

I used my I-top to make a large brad for my buckle.
I cut out two different sized flowers from the Princess Posies paper and cut the petals on one and frayed it, placing a small i-top covered brad in the middle. I cut the pink ribbon from SCAL and i-rocked it!
I papermache'd the back using the crowns paper and placed a thick layer of glossy accents over it. I also love using the i-top punch shape occasionally, like I did here, to create an embellishment.
Some matching enchanted ribbon by Imaginisce and I'm all finished. Ready to party.

Thanks Pinky and the team at Imaginisce for such a great challenge. I loved taking the time creating these reflecting on what an awesome strong woman my mum was to survive chemotherapy and the great job Breast Care Nurses and research companies such as K-Confab do.

I'll wear them proudly, if only once a year.

I know you are all waiting for my calendar... well at least two of my followers are! lol. I'll be posting tomorrow (If I don't get distracted again!) AND there is a prize too! See you tomorrow! x
