Haunted Design House - Lurid and Looming.

Well, Halloween is LOOMING so let's all get LURID!

This is my second HDH entry this week into their LURID and LOOMING landscapes challenge. I don't know if I am allowed to enter twice, but it doesn't matter if not, because I'm never in any challenge to win anyway, just having fun!

BUT I thought of all the challenges I go in,
the HDH fabulous minions would appreciate the spooky content of some of this post.
Melloween is finally here.

Well is right now, but I'm home. :(
I went until the my son had a whammy and screamed the house down in true Halloween style...
I knew he wasn't going to last long.
That's Ok. That's my lot! Boys First.

This is Mel.

So here is one big fat looming and lurid landscape...
An entire party! Minus the messed up zombies at the end.
I'm sure someone will take photos.
Painted this on a shower curtain.

Used my copics and stickles to zombify Betty.

Paper Lanterns.

Clay skulls ghosts.

Copic'd candles
(Skeleton Luka from La La Land Stamps in middle)

Megamungus spider.

A witch with a penchant for fashionable boots.

Copic'd (badly) up a zombie bunny for the boys at the bar.

Vinyl drippy cups.

Ewww.

Watch out!

Gingerbread man is not running now is he?!

Carpet witchy dance.

 Neighbour yelling over the fence.

And a spooky looking fence it was!

Zombie Hunters convention.

The grub table.

Glass full of guts.

Welcome mat.

Even the trees got spooky.

Foam Gravestones.

Liquid Nitrogen is a scorpion's choice of drink.

Then the loonies started arriving.

The ladies mirror.

Flesh Eating Zombie hunters.

Cheers to that!

YOUUUUUU ARRREEEE ALLLL UNDERRRRRR MYYYY
SSSSPPPPEEEELLLLLLLLLL
Muhahahahahaha...

Well, that should be enough macabre for one week.
For the rest of the week I am going to post that much CUTSIE stuff you'll feel like you've been sucked into a
Care Bear cartoon and spat out into Hello Kitty land.
Beginning with Cindy's digis tomorrow...
OOOOOOh so cute!!!

Haunted Design House

Love a challenge with a twist. This week's Macabre Monday Challenge at Haunted House Design (HDH090) is a fabulous Necro Neckware challenge. Submit original art that can be turned into neckware, you could win something from Kasket  Kustoms shop PLUS get your art work made into a necklace! Hot idea!

So I have seen the other entries, and while I think that my art work may not be exactly what is required, I'm hoping that the CONCEPT of it will be enjoyed.

I hated those Best Friends Forever (BFF) split necklaces that were all the rage in the late 80s/90s. It was all just too exclusive. But I would LOVE to see an adaption of that.

My best friend Carlene and I are nerds. Nerds with a good self concept. (Pretty nerds lol).  We both rose in our careers young and have endured a lot of jealousy. We are both high function people, and pack our days out - every minute is accounted for. We live ions away from eachother but still have a close relationship. Together we can achieve amazing things and even though we aren't everyone's cup of tea, we'll just be Beautiful Freaks Forever.

I chose clogs and clocks (Tim Holtz Steampunk emboss folders) to represent our freakiness. (Time and brains).

This kind of concept can be applied to a necklace for any set of freaky friends. It celebrates that you can be your strange, weird, witty self with a friend and they embrace that, no judgement.

The actual design could get a lot freakier between friends if they custom designed their own. I am going to use the original art work copy as a base of a scrapbook layout, so I made this one fairly specific to Carlene and I.

Thanks for an awesome challenge Haunted House Designs, I love the design team and the other entries!

See you again soon!

My First Haunted Design House entry! (HDH081)

I've been following Haunted Design House for a while and I've finally decided to give the Macabre Monday challenge a go. Last week they had a skull challenge, so I started creating, got distracted by other projects and "OH NO!!!" I missed the link up due date....*shriekkkkkkkkkkk*

LUCKILY for me though, The NEW Macabre Monday challenge was about Dastardly Divas! It fit perfectly with what I was already making! Superbly Freaky!

*eery music intro* doodoodooodooodooododooodoooo

This card was made for a friend of mine who had babies the same time as I did.  As a result, we have often joked that even though we have known each other four years, we have never actually finished an entire sentence in conversation... we get cut off by baby brain, baby business and babies being bad!  She is one of the most funniest women I have ever met and I know she will see the funny side of this birthday card to her.

*Evil laugh*
Muuuhahaaaahhhaaaaahhhaaa
I have proof:
She has double booked me
She forgot I was coming over one day
She forgot who she was calling when I picked up the phone
She has forgotten my name while introducing me
She has stopped mid-sentence and finished it two days later
And I have done ALL of those things to her too!
In Australia, it is a joke that if you can't remember someone's name, you call them MATE.
And yes, those are fake eyelashes.

Plus if you do have a brain, unlike me, remember:
1) I'm celebrating 100 followers! Click Here!
