Getting Cricky with a Smiley McFace

Over at Getting Cricky you'll find Simply Sunday challenge, to add a face to your project and a great message shining bright as a person and showing your fabulous self to the world.

I'm so happy I've learnt to live out loud. The good, the not-so-good, the quirky. I am who I am. Although I love praise, I never need any outside approval to keep smiling. Which is why I am posting this layout.

It's not my greatest, it is a weird concept, but it is an important story to tell and a very big meaningful event for my son each week.

Plus it gives me a giggle about my own thought processes. I have one of THOSE brains. It has annoying inner dialogue that never stays silent. It is not happy with just "challenge" "It wants superchallenge!" So my brain said,

"Cool challenge Kristal! - Face challenge. Easy. Lots of layouts planned that could use a face, but I reallllly want to do the McDonalds one...ooooooo I know... face... Ronald McDonald. Hahahaha that'd be hilarious. Peachy Keening up Ronald!!! LOL...Which PK stamp would I use? The New years ones? REVELATION: Maybe I'm the first person EVER to PK up Ronald...hahahaha who would know that? I know who WOULD know... PK DT member Stamping with Janice. ..she always visits my blog.I'm going to ask her. Poor Ronald... OH NO!!!! imagine Paperdolling him toooo!!!!! Ooooooooo And then using the packaging in the background....hahaha...  MAKING FLOWERS OUT OF NAPKINS.... lolololol."

Having sufficiently amused myself in my own head... I had a problem. My simple face challenge turned into Superchallenge! I had 'up-sized' my challenge.
 Used the packaging.
Made McFlurryflowers using the i-top and i-top punch
out of the napkins, cups and bags.
I doubt Imaginisce ever thought that would happen.

Not that I think there is a HUGE interest out there for tutorials on McDonalds napkins... in case you were wondering how to make a
McHappyChloe McCarnation with a McNakpin:

hahaha Just a little bit Fancy.

Please Janice, tell me -
I am the first EVER person to
Peachy Keen up a Ronald McDonald?
I did use the New Years Peachy Keen set in the end.

Such a fun challenge and
subsequent personal Superchallenge.
You put a smile on my face and my layout.
It's weird, it's me, and it's just a little bit Fancy!

Getting Cricky - Thanks for the little things

I love Getting Cricky with K Andrew. Her blog is always a great read. She is a humanitarian with inspiring messages. I am entering in her Simply Sunday Anything Goes Challenge, but instead of taking the easy road and linking up something/anything, I created something specifically for her challenge.
Getting Cricky has a major theme through all her posts: Gratitude. I love, and live by being thankful too, so I thought I'd post about how my mind works each and every day. (Scary thought!)
Each and every day, maybe 40 times a day, I consciously think 'Thanks' (THX) for the little things that make me happy.  When I moved out of my home recently, I forgot to take the one little thing that brings me joy, my white mug.

So I just found one in my new town and I am so happy! It makes me the PERFECT sized coffee. The little mugs in my current home weren't cutting it!
New i-gems are in the shape of tears/droplets. So I used gel pens to add rain action.

Even though I am surrounded in chaos sometimes, I still have a great life, I am very fortunate. Saying thanks for the small things can help anyone in dark sad place to re-emerge with a brighter outlook.

I have also started a page on my blog where you can see my Daily THX... another reason to giggle and think about your own THXing. It really does make life more livable sometimes to practice saying THX. Click on the top THX tab to read more. or Click here to have a squizzy.

Let me know in the comments box under the page which little things you give THX for everyday.

This font is Sesame Street Sunny Days. Embossed and layered.

I LOVED creating the rainbow from bazzills. It was a bit of a challenge, but I worked it out and cut it all by hand drawing and an old tool of mine... scissors.

Thanks for a great challenge Getting Cricky!

And thanks to all my bloggers. Your comments may be just little to you, but they mean a lot to me!

THX for the little things.

Pack Your Bags Jacob! Getting Cricky and Going Campy

K Andrew is having a PACK YOUR BAGS Simply Sunday challenge over at Getting Cricky! I loved the timing of this challenge, because Jacob is nearly ready to take off on his own Hot Blog Hop and travel around the world!

So with his Camping Critter back pack on, he packed a suitcase for the trip.

Inside his new suitcase is his map, and his blog hop journal.

Here is his map so far:
On his itinerary so far is:

Helping the Cricutjunkie in her scraproom in California
Eating some poutine with Kate in Canada
Wine tasting in California with Popsicle Toes
Organising embellishments with KSD Creations
Choosing cartridges for Sandra at 365 days of Cricut
Living in a luxury mansion with Barbie at Michelle's in Perth
Jennifer at Arizona will find him something to do I'm sure!
Kim H in Pennsylvania is going to keep him laughing.
Date night with a harem of barbies at L.B's place in Illinois!
Then to Hawaii to guard Erin's scraproom from lizards.
Plus Me n' Miss Pink Cricut has a special surprise for him!

He's started saying goodbye to Action man, Buzz Lightyear and all the toys.
Those clip on koalas just never let go.

He is doing regular work-outs to keep that ripped 6 pack belly for all his dates with various Barbies along the way.
His suitcase is made from the Heritage cartridge. I used Bo Bunny paper, added some i-rocks and the font is Birthday Cakes.

If you think you can handle a HOT scrap assistant for a couple of weeks in your scrap room... Check out this link for details.  Jacob is accepting any 'applications' until 31st March!

Thanks K Andrew at Getting Cricky for a great reason to get Jacobs bags ready for his Hot Blog Hop! Join the fun over at Getting Cricky!
