My First Haunted Design House entry! (HDH081)

I've been following Haunted Design House for a while and I've finally decided to give the Macabre Monday challenge a go. Last week they had a skull challenge, so I started creating, got distracted by other projects and "OH NO!!!" I missed the link up due date....*shriekkkkkkkkkkk*

LUCKILY for me though, The NEW Macabre Monday challenge was about Dastardly Divas! It fit perfectly with what I was already making! Superbly Freaky!

*eery music intro* doodoodooodooodooododooodoooo

This card was made for a friend of mine who had babies the same time as I did.  As a result, we have often joked that even though we have known each other four years, we have never actually finished an entire sentence in conversation... we get cut off by baby brain, baby business and babies being bad!  She is one of the most funniest women I have ever met and I know she will see the funny side of this birthday card to her.

*Evil laugh*
Muuuhahaaaahhhaaaaahhhaaa
I have proof:
She has double booked me
She forgot I was coming over one day
She forgot who she was calling when I picked up the phone
She has forgotten my name while introducing me
She has stopped mid-sentence and finished it two days later
And I have done ALL of those things to her too!
In Australia, it is a joke that if you can't remember someone's name, you call them MATE.
And yes, those are fake eyelashes.

Plus if you do have a brain, unlike me, remember:

PK Flower Power challenge! And details of my 100 followers prize!

SMILES ALL ROUND!

Peachy Keen has a Flower Power Challenge #12 on, and I made a special lunch for the staff at the school where I teach one day a week. I wanted to make it fun, relaxing and smiley.

Teachers work so hard for their dollar and they rarely take time out to relax and enjoy their time together as a staff, so I made lunch an extra special experience:

I used the Sunflower from Stretch Your Imagination and the new Peachy Keens that arrived in the mail two days ago! I LOVE the Retro faces!!!!

I was also teaching that day, so this was a few snaps I got between ushering kids outside, tying shoelaces, singing songs, wiping tears and general classroom chaos.

It was so good that they could take some time to smile.

Speaking of things that bring a smile to me, I'm celebrating 100 followers and one million laughs on my blog with a once-off "Smile Challenge" - You can win the ABC Animal Face stamps and the matching Zooballoo cartridge.
DETAILS FOR THIS CHALLENGE ARE HERE!
I'd love all the Peachy Keen fans to join the fun, there are smiles all over your work!

The staff loved their lunch break! So thanks Peachy Keen Challenge Blog for not only a great challenge but a lunchtime full of adoring comments about my work with your cute stamps...

Cheap Chirpin Tuesday Blog Candy!

Welcome to Week 4 of our Cheap Chirpin Tuesdays for March!

This week I am featuring some cheap embellishment fun!

For only $2 I got this packet of embellishments.

Carlene from Me n' Miss Pink Cricut laughed at me!!!... Sure, plastered all over a layout, they would look a little tacky.

But I saw potential and I bet she is jealous now!  (Especially after I hopefully win the 'add a bow' challenge entry on the  'Do You Stack Up' blog!)
So far in the Cheap Chirpin box is: Chalking palette, Metallic wire, Whimsical paper clips, Pentel outline markers,  this bag of mixed brads, ten sheets of bazzills, and 39 pieces of chipboard lettering.

You will find four March Cheap chirps on my blog and four on Carlene's blog. ONE avid 'commenter' gets the lot!!! You can use the sidebar blinkie to hop between us.
Carlene's blog is HERE!

Have fun!
P.S. Speaking of fun, I'm celebrating 100 followers and a million laughs tomorrow. I'm giving away a Zooballoo cartridge WITH matching Peachy Keen Stamps. So drop by same time tomorrow!

Peachy Keen Stamp Storage idea!

Here is my Peachy Keen stamp storage idea which I thought of while I was making a layout for Scrappy-go-Lucky, featured here. (Still a chance to win YOUR choice of Peachy Keens! Make sure you check it out!)
I wanted to make a system that showed each stamp in real size, with all the extras like chalking, gel pen, etc so I can see exactly what it looks like stamped.
Two reasons:
1) Although a little Obsessive Compulsive,  AKA - super organised, I'm actually lazy when it comes to packing away things. So everything needs a little place!
2) I am slightly shallow... I like things in my scrap room to be PRETTYYYYYY or I don't use it. Simple as that. Lol.

This is a CD case I've had FOREVER! And I love it so much I can not throw it out. So I'm putting it to good use! Plus, my i-pod created lots of empty CD cases for me... perfect solution!
So each CD case has a cover of stamps made up and on the edges have written the number Peachy Keen stamp they are, so I can reference them when I blog a layout.

 Everyday Character Faces 1 1/8 "

 Boy Mates
Do you like my knitted jumper with gel pens?... oh so cute.

 Wide Eyed Kids
Can you see some of my most inspiring bloggers?
Popsicle Toes and Pinky!
Carlene in the gold (I was her gold bridesmaid)
I'll cry if my cricut ever breaks.
I don't know who the envious one is!

Don't get your eyes checked... this photo is fuzzy!
Simple Simons.

Then I made a set for Baby Animal Faces to match New Arrivals cuts.
Haven't quite finished this set yet, I loaned it out.

Then I created a set for all my ABC Animal faces to match Zooballoo cuts. I also wrote what size cut for each animal suits the stamp.

On Wednesday I am having a 100th follower/1 million laughs celebration for my fun blogging achievements.
You can WIN the Zooballoo cartridge PLUS the ABC Animal Faces Peachy Keen stamps to match, just like this set!
I hope you'll stop by to visit then!

So I match each stamp underneath to be in line with the picture at the front. That way I can see where to put it back. (Don't tell me off for not cleaning those stamps well, they are hot off the stazon and my stamp cleaner isn't pretty enough!!!)

Now I'll have to keep making these CD cases for my NEW Peachy Keens arriving soon! I can't wait!

I'm also entering this stamp storage idea into the 'anything goes'  challenge #83 at PAPER CUTZ Challenge blog
And 'anything but a card' Challenge #126 at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge.
Thanks ladies for the perfect challenge!

Banners and Bows and Peachy Keen fun!

I know I said I would post my Peachy Keen storage stamps solution today... But I got distracted!

 FORGIVE ME???

Yesterday my friend Carlene and I both drove hours to be together in a hotel with views and scrapbook all day in a town between our locations. While I was finishing my stamp storage cuteness, I saw two challenges to enter and had a great idea for a layout! So I went with it!
Frosted Designs have a banner challenge and Do you Stack Up wants you to add a bow.  I was shopping for Cheap Chirpin Tuesday and I found the cutest bead bows!

I put two banners on my layout, Daisy is what we call each other.

This was cut from Country Life. The font is a cheap stamp set from my pre-cricut days!

This is my favourite banner. The font is Cherry Limeade, which is now my new favourite font!

Such a cute way to use the bows. The paper is from My Little Shoebox and Officeworks right across the road from the hotel, printed me a big 12 x 8 of the views instantly to use on my layout - A mere $2.50 for INSTANT scrapping!

Room service couldn't help hide the horror on her face when she walked in and saw our scrap stuff EVERYWHERE. She must have thought it was a pink takeover! PLUS the weird look she gave the chirping cricut was funny too!

The journalling is little anecdotes that will remind me of the fun, productive day we had! Me n Miss Pink Cricut did so much scrapping. Check out all her cool challenge entries here!

Now I must get busy finishing my Stamp Storage! I'll be back soon with some Peachy Keen cuteness! Check my side bar for a chance to win Peachy Keens for yourself!

Meanwhile we need some Aussie and UK bloggers willing to take on my hot scrap assistant. He is already decided he is wine tasting in California with Popsicle Toes, On a hot date night with barbie dolls at Illinois with Cool Beans and helping Traci at Cricutjunkie in California. He's stopping over with Jennifer at Arizona..(he doesn't need a shirt there!) ...He couldn't turn down Pennsylvania to see Kim. But he wants to show his koala around Australia and the rest of the world too! Click here for the HOT BLOG HOP!

Plus, today one of my layouts is posted on the Peachy Keen website today! What an honour! Thanks Kathy!

Thanks Frosted Designs  and Do you Stack Up.

I always love your challenges! Plus my scrap albums are bulging!
