Awww Welcome to my new followers!
Disclaimer: My blog is like a box of Choooocolates...
You just never know what yer gonna get!
Well, I have ONE HOUR and 32 minutes to link this up before Mr Linky shuts the window.
(Sooo... Don't ramble)
The Paper Variety have an AWESOME sketch on at the moment... (well, only for one more hour...) and
TTRUSTTT me... you can't pump this out in an hour.
It was Cricut Cutting Whimsy frenzy.
(ummm... 1 hour 27 mins...stop rambling)
So here's my layout...
Lol. Not my most photogenic hour ever.
You'll be pleased to know I don't drink much these days.
I'm crazy enough sober.
Here's the cute sketch:
Love that tree.
Used i-gem and i-rock for my tree.
My poem is a re-write of 3 little monkeys, obviously... mixed in with a little bit of Jill tumbling down breaking her crown. Except in this story, her nickname is DILL!
Me!
A skimpy is a barmaid who wears limited clothing and serves drinks to the men. They are common in outback towns. I worked in the middle of Western Australia for 3 years. It is 300km from the nearest big town and 600 km north east of Perth. There is about 1000 gold miners out there, a few skimpies and us teachers! ... and that's really about all!
Loved every minute.
Apart from falling off the bar of course. lol.
I'll distract you from that statement with cute owls.
I used the koala Peachy Keens out of ABC animals.
Here are my images you can TRACE IMAGE into SCAL if you are interested.
One hour seven minutes!!!! Wait for me MR LINKY!!!
Ironically, this little jewel crown was given to me by my gorgeous friend Karin as a key ring, and it really did break. So this is a nice way to preserve what is left.
Thanks for an awesome challenge The Paper Variety.
Loved that sketch!

ReplyDeleteWow, I love this page and the story behind it!! We tend to get into scrapbooking to tell the stories behind the photos. You have to scrap more pages about the stories behind the pages, hahaha. Love it. Do you take lots of photos of your layout, or use photoshop to focus on the smaller sections? I'm a newbie, remember so no question is dumb, right? Anyway... thanks for sharing, it's another great one! xx
ReplyDeleteAmazingly wonderful layout, Chloe! I love everything about it. Those owls are adorable. And the poem is too funny.
