Kaisercraft January Saturday Sketch #1

Love a good double layout! The sketch over at Kaisercraft blog looked like a challenge, In fact I had been staring at this sketch by Alison Wood all week:

But then I got out the Fun in the Sun Kaiser paper collection and then the whole layout plan came together in ten minutes! It had all the elements I needed. Phew!

All I had to add to the page was the title. I love writing titles in exactly how the boys pronounced their words at their given age. Like most kids, Drew used to have a slight lisp as he was learning his sounds at 2 years old.
For some reason, Drew and Dean have always called me Mumma, a more American way of pronouncing Mum. In Australia, 'mumma' is rarely used and I often get questioned by other mothers on it. We never encouraged or discouraged it either way and certainly don't care either way. It was a great opportunity to scrap that unique little habit of theirs.

The font is Birthday Cakes. I love it!

I found a marquee box I liked in Accent Essentials (the cartridge that has turned out to be very essential!) And I used the thin lines of the patterned paper to make a journal box with a colourful difference.
The little tag topper was from Fabulous Finds.

Thanks for an awesome challenge again Kaiser.
I am really enjoying your Saturday Sketches!
